Teacher Appreciation Month Spotlight: Erika Dunn of Liberty ES!
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2025 Teacher of the Year each day! First-grade teacher Erika Dunn, a 19-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Liberty Elementary School!
“Mrs. Dunn had a way of making our children feel like they were her favorite,” shared the parent of former students. “A little part of me thinks that most of her children’s parents feel that way because she genuinely loves what she does. She takes each kids’ special qualities to heart and shows them how to make those shine. For some people, I’m sure teaching is a job … but for some, it is a calling, it’s in their spirit, and they leave a lasting impression on children in their most formative years. No doubt Mrs. Dunn is one of those teachers and we will always feel she taught with more than her knowledge. She taught with her heart.”
