Board Business Briefs: School Board Appoints New Leaders

The Cherokee County School Board met for a brief called meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2025, to appoint additional staff for next school year, including two new leaders.
Jennifer Williams will serve as principal for Oak Grove ES STEAM Academy! Ms. Williams, a 16-year educator, most recently served as an assistant principal for Marietta City Schools. She previously worked as an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher, ESOL coordinator and as a special services administrator.
Lauren Holtzer will serve as CCSD’s fine arts coordinator! Ms. Holtzer, a 17-year educator, currently serves as an assistant principal at River Ridge High School. She previously worked as a visual arts teacher and served as Sequoyah High School’s fine arts department chair.
